Paul van Meekeren Delivery Boy Netherlands Upset in World Cup 2023: It is said that dreams come true with determination. Netherlands cricketer Paul van Meekeren has achieved the feat of making his dream come true with the same zeal. On Tuesday, Netherlands caused the second major upset of the World Cup 2023 by defeating South Africa, which had achieved two big wins. This included 2 wickets in 9 overs from Paul van Meekeren. Paul bowled Aiden Markram for 1 and Marco Jansen for 9 runs. The special thing is that this bowler once used to do food delivery work in Uber Eats.

In fact, in November 2020, Paul had revealed that he used to work as a delivery boy in Uber Eats to earn his livelihood during the Covid pandemic. He was aiming to play for England after gaining UK citizenship. However, this is not the first time that Paul has done a big feat. Many big records are already registered in his name.

    Who is Paul Van Meekeren?

Paul Adriaan van Meekeren was born on 15 January 1993. He is a Dutch cricketer who has played for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. He has played for Somerset and Durham in English county cricket at domestic level and for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in T20 franchise cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium fast bowler.

Van Meekeren made his T20 debut on 20 April 2013 against Kenya. About a month later, on 31 May, he made his ODI debut in the one-off ODI against South Africa, where he took the wicket of Hashim Amla. In the first round of the 2016 World Cup 20, he took 4 wickets for 11 runs against ICC full member Ireland. Which is his best performance in T20 International.
