Leaders of both BJP and Congress parties are reaching the state for election campaign. During this period, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also reached Chhattisgarh. Appealing to the public sarcastically, he said that if one Akbar comes, he settles a hundred, the public should keep this in mind. During this period, Sarma remained quite vocal while talking about Hindutva. Answering the questions of reporters, he said that what should one say if one does not speak about Hindus after coming to a Hindu country?

While talking about Hindu religion, Sarma said that we have been Hindu for 5 thousand years and if any challenge comes on Hinduism then it cannot be termed as ‘just’. During this, he also expressed his opinion on the issue of love-jihad and religious conversion.
