Congress MLA from Firozpur Jhirka Maman Khan will be produced in Nuh District Court today. Maman Khan had sought relief from the Punjab-Haryana High Court to avoid arrest. But the High Court did not give any relief and went to the lower court and asked Maman Khan to file an anticipatory bail petition as per the procedure. The next date of hearing in this case in the Punjab-Haryana High Court was October 19 and before that, to avoid arrest, Maman Khan had the option of going to the lower court and obtaining anticipatory bail.
Even before this, SIT of Haryana Police has arrested Maman Khan from Jaipur. Police sources claim that Haryana Police has strong evidence regarding Maman Khan’s involvement in the conspiracy of Nuh violence and to investigate this, Maman Khan was called twice to join the investigation. But both times Maman Khan did not join the investigation and approached the Punjab-Haryana High Court to avoid arrest.
Congress MLA Maman Khan was brought to Nuh police lines last night. Maman Khan had given a statement in the Haryana Assembly that after all, the Haryana government has given arms license to Monu Manesar and if he comes to Mewat, he will be crushed like an onion.
