Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates his 69th birthday on September 17, the whole nation will be celebrating with him.

While the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to observe the whole week as Seva Saptah, different states will celebrate the occasion in their own unique way.

Meanwhile, PM Modi will be visiting his home state Gujarat. As the Sardar Sarovar Dam is expected to reach full capacity soon, PM Modi will witness the milestone on his 69th birthday.

He will also visit his mother Heeraba and take her blessings.

Since being elected the prime minister in 2014, Narendra Modi has celebrated every birthday in a unique way.

2014

In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his mother Heeraba in Ahmedabad on the occasion of his 64th birthday.

The PM greeted his mother and touched her feet to seek blessings.

Heeraba, 95, blessed her son as she gave him Rs 5,001 as a birthday gift, which he donated to the Jammu and Kashmir flood relief fund.

The prime minister also hosted a special dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping in Ahmedabad on his 64th birthday.

2015

In 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Shauryanjali, a military exhibition to mark the golden jubilee of Indo-Pak War of 1965, and said that the valour and sacrifice of the armed forces during the war would remain etched in every Indians memory.
