On the occasion of International Literacy Day, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has extended hearty wishes to people of the state. Mr. Baghel said in his message that this day is all about creating awareness on important of literacy. This day is all about illuminating the society with awareness, peace and prosperity with the light of literacy.
Chief Minister appealed people to pledge that they would contribute in formation of Nava Chhattisgarh with 100% literacy as well as 100% digital literacy. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that literacy is the first door to the magnificent world of education. Literacy and education, education and development are directly connected. International Literacy Day is the day of taking pride in the progress made towards the goal of 100% literacy. He said that as per an estimate, nearly 25% population of the state is illiterate, and to achieve the goal of 100% literacy, individual interest and community participation is required.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that keeping in view the outreach of information technology and its influence on lives of common people, ‘Chief Minister Functional Literacy Programme’ has been launched. It is first of its kind initiative in the country. Chief Minister has expressed hope that this programme would benefit the masses.
