Minister Ms. Usha Thakur, the great poet. Wreath laying on the statue of Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi Bhopal: Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 17:55 IST Minister of Tourism and Culture, Ms. Usha Thakur, today reached Makhan Nagar, Babi Hoshangabad, the birthplace of Mahakavi Late Shri Makhanlal Chaturvedi. On this occasion, Minister Ms. Usha Thakur offered a tribute to Rashtriya Nayak poet Mr. Chaturvedi, saying that the works of Dada Makhanlal Chaturvedi brought down the flame of the heart of the revolutionaries and Has played an important role in liberating India from the shackles of freedom. He said that Poetry recitation competitions should be organized at Makhannagar Babai, the work place of national devotees and karmayogis based on the national level scripted Veer Ras. This will be a true tribute to Dada Shri Chaturvedi. He said that the meaning of freedom has changed. At present, we all have to play the role of vigilante guard of Mother India, like the Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi, for the creation of 21st century India. He urged the common people to cooperate in public welfare schemes from door to door. On this occasion MLA Hoshangabad Mr. Sitasaran Sharma, MLA Sohagpur Mr. Vijay Pal Singh, Mrs. Maya Narolia, District President Babai Mr. Braj Meena and other public representatives Gana and officials were present. Minister Ms. Thakur honored the young runner Varanyam Sharma, Minister Usha Thakur honored the Babai’s little runner Varanyam Sharma by presenting him with a citation and medal. It is noteworthy that 6-year-old boy Varanyam Sharma of Babai has registered his name in the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records in the race. On the occasion of 26th January, Republic Day, Varanyam started his race from Shukrabada Farm after paying obeisance to his native Babai, which ended in front of the district office.
