Joint Forest Management Committee: Women came forward to help in the Corona crisis

o far, more than 5 thousand masks have been manufactured

Raipur, Women of the Joint Forest Management Committees formed under the Forest Department have also now come forward to help in this asymmetric situation arising out of the Corona epidemic. Currently, the work of making masks is aimed at helping people. This human face is clearly visible in the women of the Joint Forest Management Committees of Patora in Farasgaon forest area and Manjithagaon of Badedongar forest area in remote forest area of ​​the state.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi informed that so far, more than 5 thousand masks have been manufactured by 14 women of these committees under the Keshkal Forest Board. The work of making masks is continued by them. Shri Chaturvedi also informed that the women of Joint Forest Management Committee should not have any problem in the construction of masks, for which necessary materials have been provided to them by the Forest Department. The circumstances of corona virus infection have created lockdown conditions everywhere. Under these circumstances, masks manufactured by the women of the committees are also being provided to the subordinate employees of the forest department for doing forest and forest work. Apart from this, masks are being distributed to two thousand 80 active members of 208 self-help groups being operated under One-Dhan scheme by the department. So that they do not face any problem for social distancing as well as small forest produce collection and processing work.

In this regard, the Forest Officer, Forest Department Keshkal, Mr. Manivasagan S. Told that currently out of about 5 thousand masks made by the women of Joint Forest Management Committee Patoda and Manjithagaon
760 nos. Masks are being supplied to Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Kondagaon and local medical shops as per demand. He also informed that under the Keshkal forest division, the construction work of the mask has also been started by the Van Dhan Kendra in-charge group mother Danteshwari self-help group Farsgaon.
