A brutal attack in Khunti, Jharkhand, has left one man dead and another injured following an assault late Friday night. Two friends, riding a motorcycle, were targeted by criminals who first threw chili powder into their eyes and then attacked them with a sharp weapon. The local police responded quickly after being informed by villagers.
The incident took place near Kocharidih village when the victims were returning from the Saiko weekly market. After the chili powder was thrown, the victims lost control and fell off their motorcycle. Attackers then arrived on two motorcycles and fatally wounded Choyta Sarukad. Singa Munda was seriously injured in the attack.
Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital by villagers, where Choyta Sarukad was pronounced dead. Murhu police have initiated an investigation, registered a case, and are actively searching for the suspects. Authorities have stated that they are committed to apprehending those responsible.
