In a move to boost educational infrastructure, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has introduced a new institutional plot scheme. The scheme provides opportunities for setting up schools, colleges, and universities within the YEIDA region. Applications are being accepted until July 31. The scheme encompasses a total of 15 plots. Ten plots are allocated for schools (up to 12th grade) and are situated in Sectors 17, 18, 20, and 22E, ranging in size from 8,000 to 14,100 square meters. The remaining five plots, designated for higher education institutions, are significantly larger, varying from 27,000 to 83,000 square meters. These plots are located in Sectors 17A, 13, and 22E and are intended for universities, medical and engineering colleges, management institutes, and sports and residential colleges. The reserve prices for the plots begin at Rs 13 crore and reach up to Rs 105 crore for the largest plot. The application process began on July 1. The list of eligible applicants will be published on August 28, and the final allotment will be determined through an e-auction on September 4. The primary objective of this initiative is to reinforce the educational framework and establish the YEIDA area, which is near the Noida International Airport, as a key institutional center. For complete details on the scheme, eligibility, and application procedures, prospective applicants should consult the official YEIDA website. The authority also plans to introduce various schemes for residential, industrial, commercial, and other business ventures. The YEIDA area, spanning approximately 2.5 lakh hectares, is located along the 165 km Yamuna Expressway and is involved in urban and industrial development across six districts.
