A shocking incident in Mahubabad, Telangana, was captured on video, showcasing two women engaged in a physical altercation over bags of urea. The incident unfolded at the Agros Rythu Seva Kendra, located at the Vivekananda center. The footage, which has gained widespread attention, includes a reaction from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The video reveals the women pulling each other’s hair and exchanging blows on a public road before two men intervened to separate them. The bystanders present showed more interest in the spectacle, cheering and whistling instead of attempting to resolve the conflict.
The altercation reportedly began when farmers, who had gathered with copies of their Aadhaar cards to collect fertilizer, became involved in pushing and shoving, which quickly escalated into a fight. The video of the incident rapidly spread across social media platforms.
Reacting to the viral video, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed the situation, noting that while urea supplies are available, the visual of a long queue can create a false impression of scarcity. He compared the situation to a popular movie, where a long queue of ticket-holders can create a perception of an endless wait, even when the supply is sufficient.
Reddy also highlighted the role of frustration caused by extended wait times. He pointed out that a person at the end of a queue of 1,000 people might have to wait for up to eight hours, leading to frustration and potential complaints about the availability of urea, even if it is present.
Separately, another video from the same district showcased a scene where farmers surrounded and overwhelmed an Agro center owner in Nellikudur mandal of Mahabubabad on Saturday, September 6. The owner was in the process of distributing tokens for urea. The farmers crowded around him, attempting to grab tokens. As the situation became unmanageable, the agro center owner began throwing the tokens to escape the pressure.
