The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh convened a cabinet meeting on Thursday, resulting in the approval of numerous important proposals. These proposals spanned various sectors, including education, water management, and economic growth. The meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saw the passage of 19 proposals in total. Among the approved items were the establishment of private universities and the implementation of a scholarship program designed to support outstanding students within the state. All cabinet and state ministers were in attendance.
Additionally, discussions were held regarding the prevailing flood conditions. A significant decision was the approval of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Chevening Scholarship Scheme, a collaborative effort with the UK’s The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). This program will enable five exceptional students annually to undertake Master’s degrees at accredited UK universities, with financial support shared between the UP government and the UK institution.
