The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS) has arrested three individuals from Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, accusing them of collecting and transferring funds to Palestine. The accused individuals include Mohammad Ayan Mohammad Hussain (22), Abu Sufiyan Tajammul Ansari (22), and Zaid Notiyar Abdul Kadir (22). They are accused of raising funds for Palestinians.
Authorities state that the suspects are believed to have collected around 3 lakh rupees for the specified cause. They then allegedly transferred the money to Uttar Pradesh through their contacts without proper authorization. This operation was a collaborative effort between the UP ATS and local police from Bhiwandi. Following questioning at the Shanti Nagar police station, the suspects were transferred to Uttar Pradesh for further investigation. Senior officers from the Nizampura police station oversaw this operation. The case originated from an investigation launched by the UP ATS on August 27, 2025, under CR number 10/2025. This investigation invoked relevant sections of anti-terrorism and foreign funding laws. Investigators reported that this operation targeted an illegal financial network that allegedly promotes terrorism abroad.
