Authorities in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, have mandated the demolition of an unauthorised family property linked to Al Falah Group chairman Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui within a three-day timeframe. The Mhow Cantonment Board issued the directive, targeting a residential property in Mukeri Mohalla that has been a subject of contention regarding unauthorised construction for decades. This development occurs amidst heightened scrutiny of Al Falah University, operated by the Al Falah Group, which is reportedly an epicentre for the ongoing investigation into the recent Delhi blast. According to Cantonment Engineer H S Kaloya, prior communications concerning the illegal constructions were sent in 1996 and 1997, referencing the Cantonments Act, 1924. Despite these earlier warnings, the construction persisted. The latest notice demands the removal of the unauthorised structure by the current occupants or legal heirs within 72 hours. Failure to comply will result in the cantonment board undertaking the demolition and seeking reimbursement. This property, identified as house number 1371 on survey number 245/1245, is situated in an area already under focus due to the arrest of Jawad Siddiqui’s brother, Hamood Ahmed Siddiqui, for a financial fraud committed 25 years ago. The investigation into the Delhi blast has also brought Al Falah University under the scanner, as the prime accused was a former student, and other suspects reportedly have ties to the university.
