Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s son, Dr. Abhimanyu Yadav, recently chose a path of collective celebration for his wedding. He married Dr. Ishita Patel in a significant mass wedding ceremony alongside 21 other couples in Sanwara Khedi, Ujjain. This event stood in stark contrast to typical high-profile political unions, emphasizing shared blessings and a profound message of social unity over personal extravagance. The ceremony attracted a distinguished assembly of guests, underscoring its importance. Among those present were Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and Durga Das Uikey, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, the renowned Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, and Bageshwar Dham spiritual leader Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. Baba Ramdev took a central role, conducting the ceremony and offering blessings to all 22 couples. Dhirendra Shastri commented on the significance of the event, recommending that such affordable, communal weddings be encouraged for their role in fostering social harmony and reflecting ancient cultural values. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav conveyed his appreciation for the ceremony, describing it as a powerful symbol of Sanatan culture, social unity, and equality. The public has widely commended the Chief Minister’s son’s choice, viewing it as a positive counter-narrative to the prevalent trend of lavish weddings.
