A horrifying double murder has shaken Thane district, as two cousins were brutally killed late Monday night. The victims were attacked with swords and knives by unidentified assailants. The attack took place around 11:30 pm on a road in Khardi village. According to Inspector Harshvardhan Barve from the Bhiwandi taluka police station, the cousins were critically injured in the assault. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, they were declared dead upon arrival. The motive behind the attack remains unknown at this time. Police have identified the deceased as Praful Tangdi, 42, and Chetan Tangdi, 22, residents of Khardi village. The bodies have been transferred to a government hospital for a postmortem examination. A formal case has been filed against the unidentified perpetrators under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code. A comprehensive search operation has been launched by the police to locate and arrest the individuals responsible.
