Manish Tewari, a Congress MP, has defended Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, framing it as an example of India’s robust democratic dialogue. Tewari stated that the diversity of perspectives within India is a positive attribute, contrasting it with countries like Pakistan.
He explained that the right to free speech and expression allows people in a democracy to articulate their views. Tewari also discussed the objectives of multi-party delegations that aimed to highlight Pakistan’s actions on the international stage.
Regarding a meeting with the Prime Minister, Tewari described it as an informal and open exchange of ideas. He stated that these discussions were crucial for gathering insights from different nations. Moreover, Tewari asserted that these global outreach efforts could contribute to the designation of states that support terrorism. He pointed out that this initiative would support forming a worldwide alliance against terrorism sponsored by states.
Tewari was part of a delegation including members from various parties, led by Supriya Sule of the NCP (SP), which visited several countries as part of ‘Operation Sindoor’.
