The political landscape of Bihar is heating up in anticipation of the upcoming assembly elections, with internal conflicts within the Lalu Yadav family also becoming a subject of public interest. Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Yadav, was previously removed from both the family and the party. He subsequently made numerous statements, including a vow to expose alleged ‘traitors’ within the family. However, he has now withdrawn this promise.
Earlier, Tej Pratap Yadav used the social media platform X to announce that he would disclose the identities of family members he considered to be ‘traitors’. He intended to reveal the five individuals he believed had orchestrated a conspiracy against him, allegedly damaging his political career.
Despite his initial assertions, he has since remained silent on the matter. No revelations followed the ultimatum he issued. When asked about the lack of information, he chose to avoid the subject, stating he would not offer any further comment and was instead heading to Begusarai.
Tej Pratap had stated in an X post that five members of his family had conspired to destroy his political life through a comprehensive plot. He claimed he would reveal the faces and characters of these five individuals to the public and expose their schemes.
Since his expulsion from the family, Tej Pratap has adopted a defiant attitude. He has already decided to run for the next assembly election from the Mahua constituency. He has also formed his own party, ‘Jan Shakti Janata Dal,’ and has applied to the Election Commission for its registration.
Following his posts on social media, RJD chief Lalu Yadav removed Tej Pratap from both the party and the family. This action was reportedly prompted by the emergence of photographs of Tej Pratap Yadav with a woman named Anushka Yadav.
