The critical role of minerals in the strategic landscape was also a key topic. Gor’s visit has included valuable interactions with other high-ranking Indian officials, such as External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, marking a proactive start to his diplomatic mission.
Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also met with Ambassador-designate Gor. Their conversation focused on the India-US relationship and its global implications, occurring at a time when trade relations have faced challenges due to recent US tariff impositions. Despite these trade frictions, recent dialogues between President Trump and PM Modi have sparked optimism for a positive resolution to ongoing trade deal negotiations.
