Tensions flared in Lucknow as Samajwadi Party (SP) activists protested outside the residence of BJP MLA Ketki Singh. The demonstration was in response to Singh’s recent remarks about SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, specifically concerning comments made about missing taps from a government residence. Singh’s daughter, Vibhavari, confronted the protestors, issuing a stern warning against any actions directed towards her. The SP’s women’s wing, spearheaded by Neha Singh, led the protest, carrying taps as a form of protest.
Ketki Singh had earlier stated that Yadav should first account for the missing taps before commenting further. The protest came after Singh’s comments about Yadav’s involvement in a voter rights yatra in Bihar, implying a lack of seriousness. Singh’s past statements have often been critical of Yadav and are known to spark controversy.
