The Lok Sabha is set to host a special discussion today to honor the accomplishments of Shubhanshu Shukla, India’s first astronaut on the International Space Station. This discussion is part of a broader focus on the role of the space program in achieving a developed India by 2047. In addition to the ISS mission discussion, the Jan Vishwas (Amendment) Bill will be presented, and the Indian Institute of Management (Amendment) Bill will also be considered.
Shukla’s return to India on Sunday was met with an enthusiastic reception. His homecoming was celebrated with cheers and the beating of drums by a large crowd at the airport.
