Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled a new hotline maintenance vehicle in Shalimar Bagh, a project by the power department intended to fix electrical wires without interrupting electricity. The vehicle represents an investment of about 1.5 crore rupees, with more such vehicles planned for the future. Gupta shared her sentiment for Shalimar Bagh, referring to it as ‘my heart’s piece,’ due to her dedication to the constituency over the past three years. The responsibility for future projects will be handed over to the MP. The CM announced the construction of a new Chhath Ghat on the Munak Canal, estimated to cost around 40 crore rupees. She highlighted the canal’s importance to Delhi and the government’s commitment to maintaining it for Chhath Puja celebrations. Gupta also spoke about other developments in Shalimar Bagh, including the installation of streetlights worth 94 lakh rupees and road widening to connect the area to the Ring Road. Additional plans involve road repairs near Guru Gobind Singh College and the construction of a new senior secondary school and a community hall in Haiderpur. Power Minister Ashish Sood underlined the importance of this new technology for uninterrupted power supply during maintenance work.
