The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) concluded its three-day all-India coordination meeting on Sunday. Held in Jodhpur, the meeting primarily focused on the conditions in several states, expressing worry about the current situations. Key topics included Punjab, West Bengal, and the northeastern region, particularly Manipur.
At a press conference held at the end of the meeting, National Publicity Head Sunil Ambekar shared details of the discussions. Concerns were voiced regarding drug use and religious conversions in Punjab. The RSS is working to prevent religious conversions by engaging with the backward classes. A detailed discussion took place on the issue of religious conversions and the rise in drug addiction among the youth in Punjab.
The meeting also showed concern over the effects of drugs in Punjab, and the role of various RSS organizations in guiding the youth. Discussions were also held regarding counseling and rehabilitation efforts to help those affected by drugs and substance abuse.
The RSS coordination meeting also expressed deep concern about Bangladeshi infiltrators in West Bengal. The meeting stressed the need to halt the illegal entry and settlement of Bangladeshi immigrants in India. The disruptive actions of Bangladeshi immigrants against local residents in Bengal were considered unacceptable.
The disturbances created by Bangladeshi and Rohingya citizens in West Bengal need to be stopped immediately. The meeting addressed recent unrest caused by Bangladeshis in the border areas of West Bengal, and legal complaints have been filed against them.
Special attention was given to the Northeast during the meeting. It was noted that separatist movements and violence are decreasing, along with progress and development in the region. Multiple RSS-affiliated organizations are actively working in the Northeast.
Sunil Ambekar stated that the RSS is working to improve coordination between different tribal groups. Efforts are being made to restore relations and harmony between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur. The recent talks between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Kuki community led to the opening of National Highway 2 for the Meitei community. The RSS believes that such actions are fostering mutual trust and hopes the situation will normalize quickly.
The meeting also addressed the floods in states such as Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, and Uttarakhand. RSS workers are actively involved in relief efforts, working day and night to assist the affected people, according to Sunil Ambekar.
