In a significant breakthrough for counter-terrorism efforts, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Amir Rashid Ali, a Jammu & Kashmir resident, who is accused of aiding the suicide bomber in the recent Red Fort explosion. The bomber was identified as Dr. Umar Un Nabi, an Assistant Professor at Al-Falah University. Investigators confirm that Dr. Nabi was the individual driving the car laden with explosives and died in the blast. Ali allegedly facilitated the procurement of this vehicle, thereby playing a direct role in the conspiracy that led to multiple fatalities and injuries. The NIA’s efforts to track down those involved have intensified, with this arrest highlighting the interstate nature of the terror plot.
