During his visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched development projects worth 13,000 crore rupees and flagged off two trains. He opened his speech in Magahi, emphasizing his role as a servant of the people and criticizing the RJD for their governance. Addressing a rally in Gaya, he expressed greetings.
PM Modi announced a new law aimed at combating corruption, applicable to all, regardless of their position, with the provision of vacating the seat if bail is not received within a month. He clarified that officials in prison would be removed from their positions. He affirmed that the corrupt will be jailed and also removed from their positions. Modi highlighted the focus on providing housing, mentioning the completion of over four million homes for the poor in the last 11 years and the construction of 3.8 million houses in Bihar, with 200,000 in Gaya. He assured the continuation of the housing scheme until every poor person is housed.
He added that this year’s Diwali and Chhath Puja celebrations in Bihar would be more vibrant, and he gave assurance that the housing scheme would continue until all the poor have homes. He referred to Gaya Ji as the land of spirituality, where Lord Buddha found enlightenment. Modi commended the decision to rename the city as Gaya Ji and praised the double-engine government’s efforts for its development.
Modi emphasized that all pledges made on the soil of Bihar have been fulfilled. He mentioned his commitment to eliminating terrorism from the region after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam and asserted that the world is witnessing the fulfillment of that pledge. He then praised ‘Operation Sindoor’ for its impact on India’s defence policy, ensuring that terrorists would not escape punishment.
