Chirag Paswan, a Union Minister, responded to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks by stating that the Congress MP has already conceded defeat in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Paswan criticized Gandhi for allegedly seeking excuses for potential losses by blaming the Election Commission and questioning the integrity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He stated that if Gandhi sought to find faults, he should look within his own party. Paswan also predicted electoral setbacks for the Congress in Assam and Bengal.
Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the RJD, sided with Rahul Gandhi’s accusations against the Election Commission, claiming that constitutional institutions have been compromised under the current government. Yadav highlighted the BJP’s alleged influence over the election process and emphasized the need for vigilance.
Rahul Gandhi had previously taken to social media to criticize the ECI’s response to his allegations about the Maharashtra elections. The ECI has since refuted these claims, calling them unsubstantiated.
