The Indian Armed Forces’ operational prowess was unequivocally demonstrated during ‘Operation Sindoor’, a targeted strike that eliminated over 100 terrorists and decimated nine terror camps. Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Command, shared exclusive details about the mission, emphasizing its role in avenging the April 22 Pahalgam terror incident that resulted in 26 fatalities. He described the operation as a testament to India’s advanced capabilities in surveillance and precision targeting, noting the complete absence of collateral damage. “The targets were divided among the Army, Air Force, and Navy,” Lieutenant General Singh explained, highlighting the efficiency of the May 7 operation. “On May 7, in just 20–22 minutes, we eliminated more than 100 terrorists. This action was extremely precise and well-planned.” He revealed that Pakistan attempted a counter-attack on May 8 and 9, employing weapons such as loitering munitions, but these efforts were entirely thwarted. Subsequently, India launched a counter-strike that reportedly neutralized 11 Pakistani air force bases, pushing Pakistan into a state of ‘panic’ and leading to their plea for a ceasefire. Lieutenant General Singh stated that India was prepared for a suspension of hostilities from May 7, but the adversary only conceded after sustaining substantial losses. He affirmed that India’s approach to terrorism has evolved, with any attack now being treated as an ‘act of war,’ reflecting a clear political directive to dismantle the entire terror ecosystem.
