AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi addressed the hypothetical situation of being Prime Minister during the Pahalgam terrorist attack. He expressed that he doesn’t dwell on such scenarios but rather focuses on the practical realities and his capabilities. He clarified that their aim isn’t just to hold power or ministerial positions. He stated that as an Indian citizen, he believes the Pahalgam attack presented a real chance to give Pakistan a strong response.
He questioned the halt of the operation, admitting his lack of knowledge about the reasons behind it. He characterized the situation as a near-war scenario, with an abrupt cessation of the operation. He raised the question of why the response was stopped when the entire country was prepared for a decisive action. He then contrasted this with current political discussions about acquiring PoK.
Owaisi also touched on the topic of Operation Sindoor, stating it was paused, not terminated. He also criticized the central government’s approach towards Pakistan during the Asia Cup cricket tournament. Furthermore, he announced that the AIMIM would participate in the upcoming municipal elections in Maharashtra.
