In Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah felicitated the soldiers who participated in Operation Mahadev, which led to the elimination of terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. Addressing the soldiers, Shah stated that they have shown the world that terrorists, regardless of their tactics, cannot inflict harm upon India and evade consequences.
Home Minister Amit Shah, while acknowledging the success of Operation Mahadev, extended his congratulations on behalf of Prime Minister Modi and the entire Indian populace to the security forces. He lauded them for reinforcing the feeling of security among the country’s citizens.
He remarked that the Pahalgam attack was a failed attempt to disrupt the ‘Kashmir Mission’ during a period of peak tourism in the region. While Operation Sindoor brought satisfaction, Operation Mahadev instilled confidence. Operations Sindoor and Mahadev have sent a clear message to the perpetrators of terror about the repercussions of jeopardizing the lives of Indian citizens.
Highlighting the significance, Shah affirmed that the assurance of security is the bedrock of India’s ambition to lead globally in all sectors. Technical evidence provided by the NIA’s FSL has confirmed that the terrorists neutralized in Operation Mahadev were responsible for the atrocities in Pahalgam. The soldiers have demonstrated that terrorists, irrespective of their evolving strategies, can no longer operate with impunity against India.
He further emphasized that the Jammu and Kashmir Police is now actively involved in the fight against terrorism, alongside the army and paramilitary forces. Both Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev were met with widespread acclaim and support for the security forces, irrespective of political viewpoints.
