The investigation into the Meghalaya honeymoon murder has taken a new turn with the revelation of additional suspects. An audio clip, obtained by News24, features an eyewitness’s conversation with Vipin Raghuvanshi, Raja’s brother. The eyewitness indicated that, in addition to Raj Kushwaha, two more individuals were involved in bringing Sonam from Varanasi to Ghazipur. The eyewitness recounted observing Sonam drinking mango juice at the Varanasi bus stand, where she appeared calm and composed. She was seen with two boys at the bus stand about two hours before her surrender in Ghazipur. These individuals assisted Sonam in boarding a bus from Varanasi to Gorakhpur at approximately 11:30 pm. A resident of Saidpur, Ghazipur, later contacted Vipin Raghuvanshi to inform him about Sonam. Uttar Pradesh police confirmed the arrest of 24-year-old Sonam, who was found near a dhaba on the Varanasi-Ghazipur main road. ADG Law and Order, Uttar Pradesh, Amitabh Yash, stated that Sonam received initial treatment at Sadar Hospital before being transferred to Sakhi One Stop Centre. Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife, Sonam, from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, disappeared during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Raja’s body was found in a gorge near Cherrapunji on June 2. They married on May 11 and commenced their honeymoon on May 20, last being seen on May 23 when their phones were switched off.
