The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a special celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, planning a ‘Seva Pakhwada’ from September 17th to October 2nd. A key highlight of this period will be the launch of the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign) by PM Modi on September 17th. The campaign focuses on reinforcing health services for women and children throughout India.
JP Nadda, BJP’s National President and a Union Minister, announced the campaign via social media, stating its objective to bolster health services for women and children, enhance access to care, ensure quality, and increase awareness. The initiative will include the organization of 75,000 health camps across the nation, held in Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centers (CHCs), and other healthcare facilities.
The health camps will be specifically tailored to meet the health needs of women and children, offering essential services that align with the government’s vision of inclusive healthcare.
In addition to the health camps, a ‘Poshan Maah’ (Nutrition Month) will be observed in all Anganwadis to encourage better nutrition, health awareness, and overall well-being. These combined efforts are designed to foster healthy families and empowered communities throughout the country. Private hospitals and healthcare stakeholders have been encouraged to participate in this initiative to support the goals of the campaign.
The ‘Seva Pakhwada’ is viewed as a significant event, emphasizing the government’s commitment to public welfare and development. It underscores the government’s focus on improving healthcare access and quality for women and children.
