In a shocking event in Nagaur, Rajasthan, a former Border Security Force (BSF) officer is believed to have shot and killed his brother-in-law before taking his own life on Thursday. The tragic event unfolded following an ongoing family dispute with his wife and her relatives.
The police reported that the 48-year-old ex-BSF jawan was significantly distressed by his wife’s extended stay (three months) at her parents’ residence. He accused his in-laws of turning his wife against him, which resulted in constant quarrels and the eventual breakdown of the marriage.
Evidence suggests the man recorded a video detailing his marital issues and accusing his in-laws of controlling his wife’s choices. After the shooting of his brother-in-law, the man then shot himself. The video also mentions the wife’s frequent calls with her siblings, and financial strain as major causes of tension in their marriage. Authorities are currently investigating the case, and the contents of the video.
