A 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar on Tuesday morning, sending tremors across several Indian states. The earthquake’s epicenter was near Ukhrul, Manipur, just 27 kilometers away in Myanmar. Information regarding the damage caused by the earthquake in Myanmar and its vicinity is yet to be released.
The earthquake, due to its close proximity to the Indian border, was felt not only in Myanmar but also in various parts of India, including Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam. The event occurred at approximately 6:10 AM.
