A commitment to discipline was on full display at a recent Congress training camp in Madhya Pradesh, where Rahul Gandhi himself participated in a unique penalty for tardiness. Arriving 10 minutes behind schedule, Gandhi completed 10 push-ups, a consequence mandated by the AICC Training Department for latecomers. This event unfolded during the ongoing Sangathan Srajan Abhiyan (SSA), a significant party initiative focused on organizational strengthening, concluding on November 11. Party spokespersons affirmed that such strict adherence to rules is standard practice within the Congress, promoting equality and democracy among members, a stark contrast to perceived hierarchical structures elsewhere. This trip represents Gandhi’s second visit to Madhya Pradesh within a five-month period, reflecting a concerted effort to revitalize the party’s organizational framework and strategize for a return to power in the state by 2028. Gandhi later traveled to Bihar for campaign activities.
