In Durgapur, West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiated the inauguration and foundation stone laying of several development projects spanning the Oil and Gas, Power, Road, and Rail sectors. Addressing a rally, PM Modi stated that the TMC was creating an unfavorable environment for investors. He accused TMC members of extorting money from businessmen and using threats, labeling it the ‘Gunda Tax,’ which he asserted was a major impediment to investment in the state.
