He accused past Congress administrations of supporting infiltrators and upsetting Assam’s demographic composition for electoral advantages. Modi stated that the BJP government is working with the people of Assam to tackle infiltration. He also praised the Assam government’s Mission Basundhara, which has provided land leases to numerous families, and reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to correct historical injustices toward tribal communities. Modi’s visit to Assam included the inauguration of the Numaligarh Refinery Ltd’s bamboo-based refinery unit. He expressed deep appreciation for the affection and support he receives from the Northeast, specifically Assam, while emphasizing the significance of the region’s development.
