The Kurukshetra Development Board, under the leadership of Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, convened to discuss the future of Kurukshetra. The central focus is to promote Kurukshetra’s cultural and spiritual importance on a global scale. Plans include building four new information centers for visitors, enhancing the green spaces within the Jyotisar pilgrimage area, and incorporating a Mahabharata theme into the city’s infrastructure with themed gates, squares, and electric buses. In addition, a survey has identified 18 new pilgrimage sites, expanding the total to 182 sites within the 48 Kos Kurukshetra region. Senior officials such as Chief Secretary Anurag Rastorgi and Home Department Secretary Dr. Sumita Mishra were present, contributing to detailed discussions on the development of Kurukshetra. Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj, Cabinet Minister Vipul Goyal, MLA Ashok Arora, and MP Naveen Jindal also participated via video conference, emphasizing the collaborative efforts needed for Kurukshetra’s growth.
