CR Kesavan, a prominent BJP leader, has accused Rahul Gandhi of acting as a mouthpiece for Pakistan. The accusation came after Gandhi’s criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom he accused of capitulating to US President Donald Trump’s call for peace with Pakistan. Kesavan stated that Gandhi is attempting to exploit Pakistan’s anti-India sentiment to revitalize his political career, which he deems unsuccessful. Kesavan also noted that Gandhi’s comments were being widely circulated on Pakistani media, contributing to a negative portrayal of India and its military. Kesavan described Gandhi as lacking in intelligence, integrity, and humility. In earlier comments, Gandhi had criticized the BJP government’s handling of Operation Sindoor, comparing it unfavorably to Indira Gandhi’s leadership during the 1971 war, alleging that PM Modi ‘followed’ Trump. Addressing Congress workers, Gandhi suggested that the BJP-RSS is easily intimidated. The US President Trump has previously claimed credit for halting tensions between the two nations after India’s effective response to terror activities.
