The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) initiated a three-day All India Coordination Meeting in Jodhpur on Friday, gathering senior officials from the RSS and its associated organizations. The meeting’s agenda includes discussions on the RSS centenary year celebrations, the ‘Panch Parivartan’ framework, the National Education Policy, development initiatives in tribal regions, and the challenge of population imbalances.
The meeting commenced with a collective recitation of the organization’s mantra, followed by floral tributes to Bharat Mata offered by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale. Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, also participated, meeting with senior officials before departing for Jaipur.
Approximately 320 key officials representing 32 RSS-affiliated organizations are participating in the three-day conference (September 5-7). The sessions will involve sharing experiences from the past year and deliberating on the Panch Parivartan principles—social harmony, environmental sustainability, family values, self-reliance, and civic responsibility—along with the RSS centenary celebrations and the National Education Policy 2020.
On the opening day, RSS-linked organizations showcased their innovative projects and initiatives. The gathering aims to enhance coordination and collaboration among various groups.
The meeting venue features special decorations, with carefully designed entrances. The Rani Abbakka gate honors the contributions of Indian women who resisted colonial and Mughal rule 500 years ago. The Haldighati gate and the auditorium’s rangolis depicting Meera Bai and Amrita Devi highlight themes of valor and environmental protection.
The coordination meeting aims to share experiences and progress made throughout the year while furthering the RSS’s core principles, including Panch Parivartan, social harmony, family awareness, environmental consciousness, self-reliance, and civic duty. It will also assess the programs planned for the RSS centenary year and the implementation efforts of the National Education Policy 2020.
Before the meeting’s start, Shanta Akka, the chief operator of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, emphasized the collaborative role of the various RSS organizations in nation-building, which would be a topic of discussion.
Notably, the presence of BJP leaders from Rajasthan appears more pronounced in this coordination meeting compared to previous RSS events. Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje met with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for 25 minutes two days before the meeting. On the day the meeting began, BJP Rajasthan state president Madan Rathore attended, remaining for approximately 3 hours.
Following Rathore, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was present for over two and a half hours. Sources indicate that the Chief Minister and the state president’s attendance was primarily formal, without specific meetings with RSS chief Bhagwat.
Sunil Ambekar, the RSS’s publicity head, addressed inquiries about potential discussions on the BJP president, stating that the party leadership is independent in its decision-making.
Along with the Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryawah, all six Sahsarkaryawahs were present. The meeting also included prominent figures like BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, organization minister BL Santosh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Alok Kumar, and organization minister Milind Parande, as well as key representatives from the Rashtra Sevika Samiti and other organizations. Additional attendees included leaders from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Saksham, the Ex-Servicemen Service Council, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, and Seema Jagran Manch.
