In a scathing critique, Babulal Marandi, the BJP chief and Leader of the Opposition in Jharkhand, has denounced the sudden cancellation of the Jharkhand Technical and Specific Eligibility Graduate Level Competitive Examination as a blatant breach of trust by the state government. He asserted that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has once again failed the state’s youth, continuing a trend of unfulfilled promises and dashed hopes.
The examination, organized by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), was slated to take place but was unexpectedly called off with a vague explanation of technical faults. Marandi questioned the credibility of this reason, implying potential mismanagement or political motivations behind the abrupt decision. He highlighted the significant economic and psychological burden placed upon the young aspirants who had made arrangements to appear for the test. According to Marandi, Jharkhand’s youth have been victims of a ‘conspiracy’ orchestrated by the current administration for six long years, with careers being ruined by paper leaks and candidates being unfairly implicated. He issued a stern demand for the prompt resolution of the technical shortcomings, the immediate and transparent conduct of a new examination, and reimbursement of all travel costs for the affected candidates.
