The results for the summer session of the Board of Santali Education, overseen by ASECA, have been released. The exams covered Lower, Higher, Matriculation, and Plus Two levels, with approximately 900 students from 15 districts in Jharkhand participating. A 100% pass rate was achieved, with a significant majority securing first division. Women constituted over 60% of the examinees this year.
Shankar Hembram, the General Secretary of ASECA Jharkhand, highlighted the growing interest in studying in the Santali language and the increasing usage of the Olchiki script. The Board follows a bi-annual examination schedule similar to the National Institute of Open Schooling, with the next exams scheduled for December.
The result announcement took place in Rajdoha, East Singhbhum. Prominent figures, including Pargana Baba Haripodo Murmu and writer Durgaprasad Murmu, were present.
The Santali Board also announced the top performers from all streams, with women making up a majority of the top achievers. The trend of women excelling is evident in both academic performance and the use of the Olchiki script.
