A raid conducted by the West Bengal police in the Domkal area of Murshidabad district led to the arrest of Siraj Mandal. The operation, based on intelligence gathered, took place in Ghodamara Nichintapur village. The search resulted in the seizure of four country-made pistols, a rifle, 312 rounds of live ammunition, and 12 empty cartridges. Additionally, counterfeit currency amounting to Rs 40,000 was also recovered. The police had been actively seeking Siraj Mandal. Following his arrest, authorities are conducting an inquiry to identify and locate other individuals potentially involved in the illicit activities. The accused has been taken into custody for 14 days after being presented before the court.
