A minor girl was the victim of a brutal gang rape in Jharkhand’s Gumla district. According to reports, three men kidnapped the girl from the Sadar police station area. They then took her to an isolated location, where they committed the heinous act of gang rape. After the assault, the accused threatened the victim and left her in a forest. The girl later returned home and informed her family about the incident, prompting them to file a complaint with the Gumla police. The police conducted a medical examination and registered a case under the POCSO Act and other relevant laws. A police team, under the direction of Gumla SP and led by Sadar SDPO Suresh Prasad Yadav, quickly arrested the three suspects: Anup Oraon, Pankaj Oraon, and Balram Mahto, all residents of the Sadar police station area. A scooter used in the commission of the crime was also seized. The local community is expressing outrage and calling for severe punishment for the accused to prevent future occurrences.
