A major road accident in Ramgarh’s Chhatarmandu area on Monday led to the death of three individuals. The collision involved a passenger bus and a truck carrying coal. Besides the fatalities, around 24 people were injured, with six reported to be in critical condition. The deceased have been identified as Manish Kumar, the truck driver from Keredari, Hazaribag, and Vilaso Devi, a resident of Jenamod, Bokaro. After initial medical care, several injured passengers were transferred from Sadar Hospital to RIMS for advanced treatment. Upon receiving news of the incident, Ramgarh police quickly responded to the scene and began rescue operations.
The accident occurred when the bus, named Sri Gokul (JH 10 BM 8219), en route from Dhanbad to Ramgarh, attempted to overtake another vehicle. The bus collided head-on with a coal-laden truck (JH 13 C 0232) coming from the opposite direction, resulting in the immediate death of the truck driver and one female passenger.
