Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra announced that many officers and employees assigned to the Sawan Mela duty are seeking exemption, citing health issues. The Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Medical Officer has been asked to constitute a medical board to assess these requests and inform the Deputy Commissioner’s office. This will facilitate the presentation of health certificates by those previously excused from duty (list enclosed). Future applications for exemption will be reviewed after health certificates are provided by the medical board. Those who do not submit medical certificates from the board will be subject to disciplinary action.
