Raipur, The path of special research and investigation has opened on the tribes residing in the Bastar and Sarguja regions of Chhattisgarh. Now, students will be able to conduct high-level research on the glorious tradition of the tribes of the state, their culture and their socio-economic fabric. An important MOU has been signed between Guru Ghasidas Central University and Tribal Research and Knowledge Center, New Delhi for this. TRKC is an important institution for research work on Indian tribes in various universities and colleges. On behalf of the university, the Registrar Prof. Abhay S. Randive and on behalf of TRKC, Chhattisgarh in-charge Shri Rajiv Sharma signed this MOU. Under this MOU, research work will be done on the tribes residing in Chhattisgarh for the next three years by the institute. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Alok Kumar Chakrawal, former Vice-Chancellor of Saurashtra University, Prof. Nilambari Dave, All India Youth Works Head of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Shri Vaibhav Surange, along with many professors, researchers, students and dignitaries were also present.
Regarding the MOU, TRKC’s state in-charge, Shri Rajiv Sharma, said that TRKC is an important institution to promote research work on tribal subjects in various universities and colleges of the country. After the MOU with Guru Ghasidas Central University Bilaspur, research on various tribes of Chhattisgarh will be intensified. He said that through these researches, common citizens will also get important information about many untouched aspects of the ancient and glorious tribes of the state and their civilization and culture. Through these research works, people will also get information about the ancient social organization, their economics, good governance, rural entrepreneurship, sustainable development and innovation of the various tribes of the Sarguja and Bastar regions. Shri Sharma said that this will enable tribal youth to know about their glorious past and its systems.
The Registrar of the University said that after the signed MOU, joint research projects on tribes will be started. Field-based case studies and training programs for youth, administrators, tribal stakeholders, leadership development workshops and certificate courses will also be organized. Guidance and counseling sessions will be held for youth on social impact based startups and innovations. Awareness campaigns will also be conducted in the tribal वर्ग with the participation of experts and professors. Seminars, lectures, conferences, round table discussions and public dialogues based on tribal will also be organized. He said that the results obtained from the research work will be made available to various educational institutions through libraries, research publications and databases. This will enable more and more information about the tribal community of the state to reach the people. The tribal communities themselves will also get to know about their glorious past and in the future this research work will become a means of including tribal subjects in the academic courses.
