Hailing from Ranchi, Tanushree Dwivedi is gearing up to make Jharkhand proud at the Batumi Open International Wushu Tournament 2025 in Georgia. The tournament is set to take place from August 1st to 6th, 2025. Tanushree, a B.Com student at DSPMU (Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University) in Ranchi, will depart on July 27th to participate. She has been involved in Wushu since her early school days, tracing back to third or fourth grade. She attributes her inspiration to her sister and brother-in-law. She started competing in 2014 and was trained by coach Deepak Gop at Morabadi ground in Ranchi. Her journey in Wushu has been marked by numerous medals, including a bronze medal at the Sub Junior National Wushu Championship in Jammu and Kashmir, a silver medal at the Junior Wushu National Championship in Fatehabad, Haryana, and a bronze medal at the Senior National Wushu Championship held in Pune, Maharashtra. Her achievements also include two gold and one bronze medal at the Wushu Federation Cup in Ranchi, and a silver and a bronze medal at the Wushu Federation Cup in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. In the All India Inter University, she showcased her skills and earned a gold and a bronze medal. Tanushree is currently pursuing her second year of B.Com at DSPMU and completed her schooling up to the 12th grade at Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School. She comes from a family of three children, her parents being Pankaj Kumar Dwivedi and Ragini Dwivedi.
