The fight against Naxalism in Jharkhand’s vast Saranda forest is nearing a decisive phase, according to acting DGP T. Mishra. Her recent visit to Chaibasa saw her receive a formal reception from local administration and security contingents. A critical review of anti-Naxal campaigns and operational preparedness took place in a police office auditorium. Discussions centered on Naxal activities within Saranda, challenges encountered during search missions, troop deployment, resource allocation, and inter-agency coordination. The DGP acknowledged the inherent difficulties of anti-Naxal operations but expressed confidence in the combined might of the police, CRPF, Cobra, and Jaguar units. She confidently stated that Naxal elements operating in Saranda will be eradicated soon, with all necessary measures already in place. Efforts are underway to analyze and resolve operational roadblocks, ensuring future missions are more impactful. The DGP underscored the importance of collaborative efforts for successful and secure operations.
