A shining example of the Chief Minister’s sensitivity and commitment towards the interests of migrant workers.
Ranchi, Correspondent.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has once again proven to be a savior for migrant workers. Due to his sensitivity and prompt initiative, the safe return of 48 migrant workers from Jharkhand stranded in the African country of Tunisia has been possible. The Chief Minister had immediately ordered action to help these workers who were struggling with non-payment of wages and financial crisis for the past three months.
As soon as the Chief Minister received information about the workers’ problems, he took it seriously and activated the State Migrant Control Room under the Department of Labor, Employment, Training and Skill Development. Following the Chief Minister’s instructions, the department acted promptly and completed the entire process with the cooperation of the Indian Embassy and concerned agencies.
All the workers are residents of Hazaribagh, Giridih, and Bokaro districts, who were employed with PCL Prem Power Construction Ltd. Following the Chief Minister’s directive, labor department officials met the workers and understood their problems in detail. The government is now taking steps towards covering these workers and their families under various welfare schemes.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has always proved that every worker of Jharkhand, whether in the country or abroad, is the responsibility of the government. The return of the workers stranded in Tunisia is proof of this thinking and commitment.
This success is not only an example of the Jharkhand government’s sensitivity and swift action but also highlights the state government’s deep concern and humanitarian approach towards migrant workers. Once again, through the Chief Minister’s efforts, the message has gone out that the Jharkhand government always stands with its citizens — in every circumstance, at every place.
