The RSS observed Vijaya Dashami in Ranchi, with Alok Kumar, a key figure in the organization, addressing the gathering. Kumar outlined the Sangh’s plans for the coming years, emphasizing the importance of social transformation. He stated that the centenary year of the Sangh is a significant milestone, and volunteers will be working towards achieving five key changes in society over the next two decades. These changes are intended to create a more empowered, self-reliant, and harmonious society. Kumar emphasized the need to ensure equality for all members of society, as this is essential for a truly harmonious nation. He also highlighted the importance of environmental protection, calling it a responsibility shared by every citizen, not just the government. The family unit was also emphasized as the foundation of a strong nation. Kumar advocated for the use of indigenous products, stating that supporting local businesses is key to India’s economic independence. He described a responsible citizen as someone who prioritizes their duties, with rights following naturally. Drawing parallels to the historical significance of Vijaya Dashami, Kumar encouraged the audience to overcome their own negativity and ego, using their knowledge and resources for the betterment of society. The volunteers will be visiting homes, promoting education, patriotism, disaster management, and social awareness. Despite heavy rain, volunteers conducted a disciplined march, followed by the traditional weapons worship, symbolizing a balance of strength and discipline. Various prominent figures, including Prant Pracharak Gopal Sharma, were present at the event.
