The increasing humidity in Ranchi and surrounding areas is making people uneasy. On Saturday, Ranchi experienced the highest humidity levels compared to other cities in the state. The humidity level in Ranchi reached 90% on Saturday, slightly lower than Friday’s 92%. Other cities reported the following humidity levels on Saturday: Jamshedpur 86%, Daltonganj 68%, Bokaro 73%, and Chaibasa 80%. The weather department has predicted light rainfall with thunderstorms across the state until June 18. A yellow alert has been issued for June 15-17, cautioning about thunderstorms and lightning in certain areas. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in the southern, western, and central parts of the state on June 17. Over the last 24 hours, Manoharpur in West Singhbhum received the highest rainfall, measuring 6.2 mm. Daltonganj recorded the highest maximum temperature at 40 degrees Celsius, and Namkum in Ranchi recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 21.7 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, Ranchi’s maximum temperature was 35 degrees, Jamshedpur’s 36.5, Daltonganj’s 40.2, Bokaro’s 38.1, and Chaibasa’s 37.4 degrees Celsius.
